Carolina Hurricanes forward left leaking after New York Islanders score a goal off his face
Carolina Hurricanes center Sebastian Aho had one of the worst things that can happen to a player. Aho took a puck to the face that led directly to the New York Islanders' second goal on Tuesday night during Game 5 of their first round playoff series.
Aho was jostling for position with Islanders forward Brock Nelson when Pierre Engvall shot a puck into traffic hitting Aho near the mouth. Nelson managed to bat the puck out of the air as it fell and past Hurricanes goalie Antti Raanta for a 2-0 lead.
Aho skated to the bench in pain and down the tunnel for repairs. Aho returned to the bench later on in the period.
The score is currently 3-1 Islanders at the end of the second period.
