Vegas Golden Knights Announce Surgery For Leading Scorer
Defending Stanley Cup Champions Facing Injury Trouble after one of their top forwards is set to miss a large chunk of time while recovering from surgery.
Vegas Golden Knights Jack Eichel had lower-body surgery and will be out week-week. Eichel has not played a game since January 11th against the Boston Bruins.
Eichel has been outstanding for the defending Stanley Cup champion Golden Knights this season scoring 19 goals and 44 points in 42 games.
Eichel adds to Vegas' already lengthy injury list which includes Adin Hill, William Karlsson, William Carrier, Shea Theodore. Fortunately for Vegas all injured players are expected to make a full recovery in time for the playoffs to begin.
Reminiscent of last year's Colorado Avalanche, Vegas is having its organizational depth challenged further illustrating how difficult it is for a franchise to win the Stanley Cup.
