Batter attacks catcher with bat in wild baseball brawl
A baseball game got off the rails when a player attached the catcher with a bat after being hit by a pitch
With the hockey season coming to a close in the next week and free agency 3 weeks away, sports fans are turning their attention to other sports. For some that's baseball, while others embrace soccer and the European Championships. For some they follow combat sports, but for us we like the best of both worlds.
During a professional baseball game today, things got incredibly heated when a player was hit by a pitch. While not unusual that's when things escalated and rather quickly. The batter immediately turned towards the catcher and delivered two blows with his bat before benches cleared.
While we wait for the beginning of the summer hockey season, we will take anything we can get, but this definitely fits into what we would consider one of the wildest brawls of the year.
