Players and spectators at a high school hockey game in Texas got into a massive brawl at the end of the game as tempers boiled over

Fights at high school hockey games are nothing new, as players and parents sometimes tend to take things too seriously and let their tempers get the best of them. This one looked like something out of a riot.

According to social media, the following video was taken following a game between high schoolers from Plane and Frisco in Texas. Some interesting points from it include a guy involved in the brawl who is wearing sandals. In contrast, several others around him have skates on, a player getting thrown like a sack of potatoes by an opponent, and a stroller that appears to be carrying a baby in the middle of it all.

Everyone likes to see passion during a game, but this kind of thing has become all too common, especially in youth hockey. It has led to a lack of officials willing to take the abuse that comes with the territory and has done nothing to rid the sport of hockey of the tired stereotypes that the sport is violent and not suitable for kids.
