Reaves challenges Rempe, but he doesn't respond how you'd expect
In the last few weeks, a lot of focus in the Big Apple has surrounded rookie tough guy Matt Rempe, and with as many penalty minutes as time on the ice for his career, who could blame anyone if they focused their attention on him again tonight as the Rangers roll into Toronto to face Ryan Reaves and the Toronto Maple Leafs?
It has been discussed at length that, for the most part, Rempe has been able to hold his own during the early part of his National Hockey League; however, a recent fight against Columbus right winger Mathieu Olivier proved that he has a lot to learn. Fast forward to tonight as he faces off with Maple Leafs heavyweight Ryan Reaves. Reaves wanted to go, but the youngster, at least to this point, decided to shake him off, as seen in the below clip.
Rempe may be smart to take the night off, because although not the toughest guy, Reaves has proven since he's been back in the Maple Leafs lineup that he still has an awful lot to give to his team and that he hasn't missed a beat since being benched for several games earlier this season.
Whatever happens the rest of the night, if you're Rempe, you may want to have your head on a swivel because if you end up out there with your adversary, things could go south very quickly
