The Detroit Red Wings are taking on the Florida Panthers today at Little Caesar's Arena. It may only be the first intermission, but there's no shortage of hatred between the two sides. Whether it be scrums or big hits, it has been anything but boring.
Early in this 1st, Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk goes in for a massive hit on Red Wings defender Jake Walman, but it doesn't go as planned, with Tkachuk no doubt getting the words end of the collision; take a look.

Tkachuk goes in for a massive hit, but not only did Walman see it coming, he sent Tkachuck flying with a low bridge, or as close to one as you can get in todays game.
Tkachuk appeared to land very, very awkwardly, but stayed in the game.
After the first period of play the score is tied at 0-0, but with plenty of animosity to go around and Walman drawing the ire of Tkachuk after that hit, I'm sure there's plenty more to come.
