The Edmonton Oilers are getting set to open their playoff run tomorrow against the Los Angeles Kings, but it is possible that they could be without one of their star players for game one and possibly longer, which would be a huge blow to the team upfront.

According to TSN's Ryan Rishaug Forward Evander Kane has been dealing with a very significant injury all season long and might not be able to be in the game one lineup; take a look.

Kane says he's dealing with a sports hernia and has been all season. He's hopeful to play but has needed to take some time off the ice late in the season to let it heal. Full participant today in practice.

Kane revealed earlier that he's been dealing with a sports hernia all season long and although he's hopeful to play tomorrow, he has needed to take some time in order to rest. The good news is there were no restrictions on him at practice, pointing to the possibility that he might be okay to go although Kane himself is unsure.

Kane, 32, played in 77 games for the Edmonton Oilers during the regular season collecting a total of 44 points, including 24 goals and 20 assists. He's been very important to The Oilers depth.

If Kane unable to play that leaves a very big hole in their lineup, but we will have to wait-and-see.
