Fans calling for Bennett to be suspended after high hit on Marchand
Last night, the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers faced off in game three of their second round playoff series and fans Seem to be upset after Boston Bruins, captain Brad Marchand was hit up high by Sam Bennett. One is even calling for suspension.
According to a fan account on X Bennett hit Marchand up high and would eventually force him out of the game. They're trying to bring attention to the fact that they believe it's a high hit that part is up for debate; take a look.
Man, shame we didn't pick up a sucker punch. Let's hope Marchand isn't dealing with a concussion. Would be a shame to have missed something like this in a highly scrutinized game

In fact, as noted above, this fan account is calling the interaction between Bennett and Marchand a sucker punch they're definitely should've been a penalty on the play, but I don't know that I'd go that far, even though the glove does make contact with his face. Given his reputation it wouldn't be surprising if the officials thought Marchand dove.
I find it funny that the Boston media and their fans get on players and fans of other teams for complaining about the officials and yet now they're doing the same exact thing. Depending on who you talk to, they would say it's playoff hockey suck it up.
You never want to see a player go down especially if it's a player of importance like Marchand, but I don't think there should be A suspension on this play.
On the other hand, I'm sure some will say Marchand's reputation proceeds and he deserves everything that he got.
