Panthers Tkachuk leaves game with apparent injury
The Florida Pathers appear to have lost the services of forward Matthew Tkachuk after the star forward was hit by Carolina Hurricanes Andrei Svechnikov during the first period of the Hurricanes and Panthers game this evening.
It has been reported that Tkachuk has not returned for the second period and may be out for precautionary reasons or the like.
Obviously at this time it is unknown the severity of any injury, but if Tkachuk is out for any length of time it would be a blow to a Panthers team that sits second in the Eastern Conference one point behind Boston with a game in hand.
The Panthers should hope that Tkachuk's absence isn't long as he is one of he catalysts that drives the team, however if you're a fan of the franchise you can imagine that visions of hus injury last season may be flashing in your head.
