500 game NHL veteran gives up on NHL dream, leaves for Europe
Veteran Forward, Colton Sceviour has signed a one-year contract with SC Berlin of the National League, the top tier of the Swiss hockey league system.
Sceviour has played 535 games in the NHL over 11 years. He suited up for the Dallas Stars, Florida Panthers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Edmonton Oilers during his time in the NHL.
The 33-year-old, split last season with the Edmonton Oilers and their AHL affiliate Bakersfield Condors. With the Oilers Sceviour played 35 games scoring 2 goals and 5 points. In the AHL with the Condors he had 6 goals and 11 points in 22 games played.
