Alberta Junior hockey player enters crowd to fight fan who shoved his mother
A member of the Stony Plain Flyers of the CJHL has been suspended for 8 games for entering the crowd to engage in a fight with a fan who'd shoved his mother. Nicholas Johnson was issued the suspension by the league after a game against the Strathcona Bruins.
While the league understood Johnson's reasoning they clearly couldn't allow for one of their players to enter the crowd to engage with a fan regardless of the circumstances.
At last report Johnson is not appealing the suspension.
