The Anaheim Ducks currently sit at the bottom of the Pacific division with a record of 5-10-1. If the season continues to go this way, GM Pat Verbeek will be having a fire sale of his roster when the trade deadline arrives.

Anaheim's biggest potential trade chip is defenceman John Klingberg.

According to Frank Seravalli, the Anaheim Ducks will be able to land a first-round pick and more if they trade Klingberg before the deadline.

After failing to land himself a long-term offer worth signing during free agency, Klingberg inked a one-year, $7 million pact with the Ducks. This is a prove-it deal for the 30-year-old, and he will be aiming to have a big year because of it.

Anaheim has been able to score enough goals to win games. The problem is they give up too many goals. The team has the worst goal differential in the league currently at -25. The Ducks have given up a league worst 70 goals. (Tied with Vancouver)

In 16 games, Klingberg has one goal and eight points. These totals are a bit low for a player with his capabilities. Except to see many teams in the running for his services once the deadline approaches.
