Another Canadian team enters the Nazem Kadri sweepstake as talks with Flames fall apart
Nazem Kadri still remains unsigned and as the top free agent on the market, it appears Kadri could be holding up other deals. Late last week Calgary seemed like a favourite to land Kadri, but it appears a deal there has fallen apart.
Now it appears the Winnipeg Jets have taken steps to enter themselves in the Kadri conversation. With the Jets being connected to the Montreal Canadiens via trade, a Kadri signing does make sense. If the Jets were able to move Pierre-Luc Dubois to Montreal, they could look to replace him with Kadri.
Last season Kadri put up the best season of his career last year putting up 28 goals and 59 assists for 87 points in only 71 games. Kadri couldn't have picked a better time to have a career year.
In the playoffs Kadri further built his legacy after returning to the Cup Finals after undergoing thumb surgery due to an injury suffered on an Evander Kane hit.
