The Montreal Canadiens and the Tampa Bay Lightning are renewing hostilities tonight in Montreal and it didn't take too long for going's to boil over.
Less than 5 minutes into the first period, Arber Xhekaj lays out Anthony Cirelli out, moments later Maroon challenges Xhekaj, who obliges as he always does leading to a pretty nice scrap, take a look.
Xhekaj as he always does takes the fight to his opponents feeding Maroon over and over again, before Maroon grabs on to end the fight.
I don't think the hit on Cirelli deserved any kind of response to be honest, but the play of Xhekaj is always electric. I'll never complain when there's good scrap.
There hasn't been many people he's lost against and his style of play is definitely a throwback. The rookie who is already a fan favourite in Montreal keeps endearing himself to the fans with things like this.
