More details emerge about death of 18-year-old OHL player

Earlier today, the London Knights and the Ontario Hockey League as well as the London community were saddened to announce the the Sudden death of 18-year old Abakar Kazbekov.

More details have emerged surrounding his death as per the the London Free Press, take a look.

Sources tell The Free Press Kazbekov's death occurred downtown, where London police on Saturday morning closed an intersection after a body was found outside a luxury condo highrise. Police tape cordoned off Talbot Street near Dufferin Avenue, outside the Azure Condominiums.

Police say they were called to the scene just after 8 a.m. Talbot Street remained closed between Kent Street and Dufferin Avenue as the investigation continued Saturday afternoon. Police told The Free Press foul play is not suspected.

London Police Chief Steve Williams also released the following statement on thd matter on social media.

Our heartfelt condolences to Abakar's family and loved ones, including his London Knights teammates and the entire Knights organization

The Knights Postponed their home game before the Holiday Break against the Flint Firebirds and their team dinner that was supposed to held after.
