The Arizona Coyotes are desperate to do whatever it takes to make sure they r reach the cap floor. The Coyotes are in the process of their continued rebuild and have chosen to weaponize cap space to do so.
Today the Coyotes announced that they have traded defensive prospect Ty Emberson to the New York Rangers in exchange for defenseman Patrik Nemeth, a 2025 second-round draft pick and a conditional 2026 second-round draft pick from the New York Rangers.
The Coyotes are clearly looking to add some veteran presence at the back end and they're getting just that with Patrik Nemeth with his defensive minded play should help the Coyotes integrate some younger talent into the lineup.
