Last night Clayton Keller suffered a significant injury, it wasn't clear how badly he was hurt, but anytime a player needs to be removed from the ice on a stretcher you know it's severe. When Keller crashed into the boards at full speed you knew almost immediately he was hurt. The way Keller's leg bent was sickening and the lack of movement while he was on the ice confirmed things were bad.

After the game Coyotes' Head Coach, André Tourigny, confirmed what many already knew, that Keller's season was likely over. Last night, Clayton Keller also took to his Twitter account to update fans on his condition, when he shared the following:

Want to thank my teammates, the fans, and medical personnel for the love and support last night! Unfortunately the season's over for me, but I'm resting comfortably at the hospital in good spirits. I will be back better than ever for day 1 next season!!!! 🙏

Today the Coyotes provided another update about Keller's condition and that included the information that Keller underwent surgery for the injury and they also provided a timeline for his potential return:

INJURY UPDATE: Coyotes forward Clayton Keller underwent successful surgery last night to repair a fractured leg. Keller is doing well and is expected to make a full recovery. He will be out 4-6 months.
