NHL preseason is a time for young players and veterans alike to try and make an impact on their new teams. Unfortunately for Ben Harpur he found out the hard way that Jamie Devane is not the player you want to mess with.

Devane hasn't played an NHL game since the 2013-2014 season with the Toronto Maple Leafs. But he's currently trying to breakthrough from the AHL and is looking to make an impact. One way to make an impact in a Brian Burke run team is to use your fists. That's exactly what Devane did.

After Devane catches Harpur with a hard right hand, Harpur falls to the ice and strikes his head hard.

According to reports Harpur was struggling to stand on his own power in the Columbus tunnel. Hopefully Harpur is okay, but this could but an end to his PTO with the Blue Jackets.
