It's been more than 3 weeks since the scary injury to Chicago Blackhawks' Connor Murphy. The injury he suffered was a significant one, as is any injury that requires a player to be removed from the ice on a stretcher.

For those who missed it, Connor Murphy was driven awkwardly into the boards by Ottawa Senators'Parker Kelly, on March 12th during a game in Ottawa between the Blackhawks and Senators.

Murphy was out cold ice for quite some time, and the medical staff had to stretcher Murphy off the ice at the Canadian Tire Centre. Murphy did give a thumbs up to the crowd as he departed the ice.

Recently, the Chicago Blackhawks media has been asking Blackhawks' head coach Derek King on Murphy's condition and could he possibly still return this season?

Here's what coach King had to say

It comes up, like, 'Hey, is it worth it? with our position in the standings. But really that's up to him. If he feels like he's good enough to play, then we're going to play him obviously. But again that's up to Connor.

Connor Murphy has 4 goals and 6 assists in 57 games this season with the Blackhawks. Murphy was a 1st round draft pick, 20th overall by the Arizona Coyotes Murphy had played in 551 games in his career thous far.
