The Class of 2024 was released with the list made up of Pavol Demitra, Keith Tkachuk, and Mike Liut.
Liut played six seasons for the Blues earning a franchise best 151 wins. Drafted 56th overall in 1976. He holds the Blues records for games played (347) and saves made. (9,165)
Tkachuk was traded to the Blues from the Coyotes during the 2000-21 season. During his nine seasons in St. Louis, Tkachuk scored 209 goals for sixth all-time in Blues history.
Demitra was acquired by the Blues during the 1996-97 season in a trade with the Ottawa Senators for defenseman Christer Olsson. During his eight seasons with the franchise Demitra would score 493 points making him seventh all-time in Blues history.
Demitra died tragically in September 2011 while playing in the KHL with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. The plane crashed claiming the lives of the entire team. Demitra is survived by his wife, Maja, and two children, Lucas and Zara.
Tkachuk and Demitra played together for four seasons in St. Louis, so it was only fitting for Tkachuk to be the person letting Demitra's wife Maja know that her late husband was going into the Blues Hall of Fame.
