Blues Head Coach under fire after refusing to comment on threats to Nazem Kadri
Nazem Kadri is public enemy number one in St. Louis. During last season's playoffs Kadri took out Justin Faulk and this season a collision with Jordan Binnington, ended the goalies series. Unfortunately for Kadri this collision has resulted in him receiving both racist attacks, as well as being the target of threats against his life.
Kadri and the Avalanche were forced to contact local authorities as some of these threats were deemed to be credible. Today the St. Louis Blues' Head Coach, Craig Berube was asked about his thoughts on Kadri's situation.
Reporter: What are your thoughts on the threats towards Kadri?
Berube: I've got no comment.
This is an extremely strange response by Berube. All it would take is a simple answer condemning this behavior and everyone could move on. Instead Berube's "no comment" goes a very long way to empower those who've made these threats.
