Brad Marchand furious after being clotheslined by Zach Whitecloud
Last night the Boston Bruins continued their great season by defeating the Vegas Golden Knights 3-1. Just as the first period ended Brad Marchand was involved in an incident with Zach Whitecloud. Boston was on the power play as the period was about to expire. Marchand, one timed the puck towards the net, but the puck was blocked by Whitecloud. As the puck went into the corner boards, Marchand got entangled with Whitecloud and fell dramatically to the ice.
From a distance it almost looked like Whitecloud clotheslined Marchand. It looked like a professional wrestling move. Marchand got up but did not retaliate. The referees weren't buying it either. Whitecloud immediately pleaded his case that it was all an act by Marchand. No penalty was called on the play. It wasn't unit that moment that Marchand was upset with the no call.
