Brandon Duhaime given 17-minutes in penalties for defending teammates after dirty hit
Last night the Colorado Avalanche were in Minnesota to face the Wild in a game that was still very meaningful to the Minnesota Wild. With home ice advantage still on the table this was a game that the Wild really wanted to win.
The game clearly had a playoff atmosphere and the physicality level was clearly elevated. After a questionable hit by Logan O'Connor on Dmitry Kulikov, Brandon Duhaime did what he does best and that's keep players honest.
Duhaime went on to beat up O'Connor for his hit and in the process excite the Wild bench.
On the play Duhaime received 2-minutes for Instigating, 5-minutes for fighting and a 10-minute misconduct for Instigating. O'Connor received a 5-minute major for fighting and 2-minutes for boarding Kulikov.
