Brawl breaks out during handshake line after emotional game
Hockey is an emotional game and it's also a very physical game. Sometimes when those two elements combined a player's temper can get the best is them. That's exactly what happened yesterday at the Bangkok Under 18 Invitational.
After Team Thailand handedly defeated Team Hong Kong 3-0, something was said in the handshake line. Whatever was said immediately set off a brawl between both teams involved. On ice officials were left simply observing and trying to figure out a way to stop the melee.
During the brawl multiple individual fights broke out, but let's give special credit to #24 who was fighting a battle that none of us could see.
While we love the passion and physical play, it's always terrible to see this sort of action after the final whistle. This is supposed to be the time when teams show each other the respect they've earned during the games.
