If things weren't bad enough for the Arizona Coyotes, today things got much worse. According to sources Arizona Coyotes minority owner Andrew Barroway was arrested.

The NHL issued the following statement:

The National Hockey League today issued the following statement regarding Arizona Coyotes' minority owner Andrew Barroway:

"The National Hockey League is aware of the arrest of Arizona Coyotes' minority owner Andrew Barroway. Pending further information, he has been suspended indefinitely."

According to the Aspen Daily, Barroway faces a felony strangulation charge. This is a severe accusation and could cause significant issues for the Coyotes. When the Coyotes signed their deal with Arizona State it came with a good behaviour clause.

According to the document, if the Coyotes or Meruelo become the subject of adverse publicity, contempt, scandal or ridicule for violating «widely held principles of public morality, failing to conduct its business affairs with a high degree of integrity and honesty and/or failing to act as a good corporate citizen,» Arizona State can get out of its deal with the Coyotes.

This is just another black eye on the Arizona franchise.
