Breaking News - Auston Matthews suspended
After cross checking Rasmus Dahlin in the head and neck, Auston Matthews was called before NHL Player Safety for a hearing. Well it's official the NHL has officially suspended Matthews for the first time in his NHL career.
According to Frank Seravalli, Matthews has been issued a 2 game suspension for his infraction.
This punishment doesn't seem to align with other suspensions given for similar infractions. The NHL gave this explanation.
