Another night in the NHL, another blown call that may have very well cost a team a win.
With the Florida Panthers up 21 on the Los Angeles Kings, an obvious tripping call was missed. Jonathan Huberdeau and the King's Austin Strand raced for a loose puck and Strand's stick went into the skates of Huberdeau's, clearly tripping up the forward right in front of the referee.
There was no call on the play, which left Huberdeau obviously frustrated. He then takes an uncharacteristic penalty when he throws a high hit on Alex Iafallo.
The game would eventually end with the King's winning in a shootout, but it should have never went to overtime in the first place. The referees need to start being held accountable for the terrible performances they have had recently.
