Breaking News - Avalanche provide update on Darcy Kuemper
Darcy Kuemper left Game 1 during the second period after struggling with his vision. It was reported that Kuemper was battling blurry vision and claimed he couldn't see the puck. This injury brought up immediate concern due to the stick Kuemper had taken in the eye during the Avalanche's 1st round series against the Nashville Predators.
Today Avalanche coach Jared Bednar provided an update on Kuemper's status ahead of Game 2.
Darcy Kuemper is OUT, per Jared Bednar. He didn't offer comment on Andre Burakovsky's status. The loss of Kuemper thrusts Pavel Francouz back into the spotlight of starting. Francouz stopped 18 of 21 shots in relief of Kuemper on Tuesday night. Game 2 goes tonight in Denver.
