Breaking News - NHL Legend passes away at 84-years-old
The sad news from the hockey world continues as today it was announced Legendary Chicago Blackhawk, Bobby Hull has passed away. Hull leaves behind a complicated legacy off the ice, but was one of the best on the ice.
In his career Hull played 1063 NHL games with the Blackhawks, Jets and Whalers. He also played 411 WHA games with the Winnipeg Jets. In his career he scored 610 NHL goals and added 560 assists for 1170 career points.
Hull still remains one of the best Blackhawk players in NHL history and his legacy remains outside of the United Center. A year ago the Blackhawks distanced themselves from Hull as an ambassador issuing the following statement.
We're redefining the role of team ambassador which unfortunately comes on the heels of losing two very special members of that family (Stan Mikita and Tony Esposito, who died). When it comes to Bobby, specifically, we jointly agreed earlier this season that he will retire from any official team role.
Outside of the United Center remains a beautiful statue of both Hull and his former teammate Stan Mikita.
Out thoughts and prayers go out to the Hull family.
