Breaking News - Pittsburgh Penguins coach makes a major announcement about the future of Kris Letang
Less than two weeks ago the Pittsburgh Penguins made the tough announcement that star defender, Kris Letang had suffered the second stroke of his NHL career. There was immediate concern for Letang's long-term health and playing ability. Now it seems that those concerns were extremely premature.
Letang's previous stroke in 2014 keep him out of the lineup for 2 months. It was immediately reported that this stroke was much less severe. Letang returned to practice last week and now it appears he's poised to return to take action.
Penguin's Head Coach, Mike Sullivan released the following update:
PIT coach Mike Sullivan says Kris Letang is available to play tonight.
This is extremely positive news for the Penguins, Letang and the hockey world in general. It's great to see one of the nicest people in the hockey industry make such a quick return.
