Breaking News - Toronto Maple Leafs sign veteran forward to professional tryout
The Toronto Maple Leafs have been quiet for the last month. With little cap space the team has had very few conversations with impact players or even depth forwards. That changed today as the Maple always and Kyle Dubas finally made an addition move.
According to Chris Johnston the Maple Leafs came to agreement with forward Zach Aston-Reese on a professional tryout.
The #leafs have signed Zach Aston-Reese to a professional tryout. There'll be lots of competition for the depth forward roles at training camp.
ZAR split last season between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Anaheim Ducks. He put up 15 points in 69 games, but also put up 231 hits. The physicality he brings is something sorely missed by the Leafs.
