Breaking News - Vegas Golden Knights trade Max Pacioretty in exchange for the worst return in hockey
Max Pacioretty was acquired by the Vegas Golden Knights from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for Nick Suzuki. Years later it appears the salary cap has forced Pacioretty out of Vegas completely.
Today it was announced that the Vegas Golden Knights had agreed to trade Pacioretty to the Carolina Hurricanes.
Confirming Pacioretty and Coughlin to Carolina. Move necessary for Vegas to be cap compliant.
Vegas fans initially held their breath to find out what their return would be, only to receive the worst news a fan can receive.
The return for Vegas simply ends up being the cap space due to their team being non-compliant. This is a major blow for what seemed to be a promising Vegas team.
