Canucks Media Drop Who They Think Should Be Next Captain
With training camps opening up in a couple weeks speculation has been heating up on who should be the next captain of the Vancouver Canucks.
Vancouver has been without a captain since January 30, 2023 when Captain Bo Horvat was traded to the New York Islanders by the Vancouver Canucks for forwards Anthony Beauvillier, Aatu Räty, and a conditional first-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.
There appears to be three potential candidates for the "C" in Vancouver according to Canucks media writers, podcasters, and influencers. Quinn Hughes, JT Miller and Elias Pettersson are the top choices.
The crew at the Donnie and Dhali podcast discussed who they think should be captain.
"People keep telling me that Quinn Hughes will be the next captain of the Vancover Canucks... time will tell" Dhali said
"My guy is JT Miller. I love his passion. JT MIller plays the right way with his passion and enthusiasm and he's here for another seven years"
"He hates to lose, I don't care if he had a couple instances where he showed bad body language. JT Miller for me is a warrior and I think he should be the captain."
Dhali expressed
If I was a betting on this situation I think Vancouver will forgo having a captain for the upcoming season and go with 3 assistant captains Miller Hughes and Pettersson.
