Dallas Stars announce the passing of beloved member of the franchise
Today, the Dallas Stars took to their Instagram account to share the passing of a beloved member of the franchise. The Stars shared the following message on their account.
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness we share the passing of longtime Stars locker room security officer, Don Widdicombe, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Don will forever be remembered as family. These doors will always be yours.
We'll miss you, Don.
Don had worked with the franchise since 1994. Don was known as the "fist bump guy" who gave members of the team fist bumps as they entered the ice.
