Darryl Sutter gives the uncensored reason why Jonathan Huberdeau left the bench
Calgary Flames fans were concerned in the first period of last night's game, when Jonathan Huberdeau left the bench. There was no moment in particular that caught fans eyes and Huberdeau hadn't taken any hit of note. Some figured that Huberdeau had potentially suffered an equipment issue, but that wasn't the case.
After the game Darryl Sutter was asked about the incident. Sutter is known for being a no nonsense kind of coach and he didn't hold back when asked about Huberdeau's whereabouts:
I think he had to go take a shit.
Huberdeau may have appreciated a little more discretion on his coach's part, but you have to love someone with Sutter's honesty. Unfortunately the Flames lost last night's Battle of Alberta 3-2, evening the season series at 1.
