The Calgary Flames head coach Darryl Sutter won the Jack Adams in 2021-2022, for turning the Flames around and into contending territory.

However last night, in their first game against Johnny Gaudreau and the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Flames simply didn't show up to play and when that happens, Sutter is never happy.

Gaudreau and the Blue Jackets won 3 to 1, with Patrik Laine, Eric Robinson, and Sean Kuraly each getting a goal against a team struggling to find an identity.

The Flames didn't show up against one of the worst teams in the league and had to hear about it post-game from Sutter.

«Guys came for a visit tonight»

When your coach accuses you of going for a skate on opposing ice, the shame has to be palpable.

Tonight the Calgary Flames will take on a tough Toronto Maple Leafs team and Sutter will no doubt try to correct course.
