Dylan Strome had a beautiful tribute after his best friend Wrigley passed away
Dylan Strome, has had a rough couple of years and he's credited his best friend, Wrigley for getting him through those times. Wrigley, named after Chicago's iconic, Wrigley Field was Strome's 2-year-old Golden Retreiver.
Earlier this year in an interview Strome mentioned how important Wrigley had been for his mental health:
The dog's a big one. You come in and he's just so happy to see you. He doesn't know what's going on. He's happy, 24/7. It's always nice to come home to that and see a big smile on his face. It makes you forget about hockey for a little bit.
According to Strome's Instagram Wrigley spent four days last week at a veterinary hospital after undergoing surgery. He came home Wednesday, but he developed sepsis and had to return to the hospital Friday.
Unfortunately Wrigley didn't make it and today before the Hawks versus Predators game, Dylan Strome paid tribute to his good friend in his own unique way.
It's always terrible to lose a pet and for Strome who spent as much time as he did with Wrigley, this must be especially tough.
