Embarrassing clip of Nylander doing everything possible to avoid a physical confrontation
William Nylander has gained a reputation in Toronto for doing everything possible to avoid being physical. While known for elevating his game in the playoffs there is still a portion of his game he needs to elevate. That's his physical involvement.
After the whistle was blown things got heated between Mark Giordano and Anthony Cirelli. As the two exchanged shots and shoves a crowd gathered. In this clip you can see Nylander doing everything possible to avoid the scrum.
At one point Nylander stood by while Captain John Tavares took shots to the face from Brandon Hagel.
If I'm Sheldon Keefe I'm showing this clip to every member of my team especially if the Leafs plan on completing against the Lightning in a likely 1st round matchup.
