An embarrassing stat was shared today that put things into perspective for the Arizona Coyotes dismal season. Adam Herman shared the fact that New York Rangers forward Chris Kreider has personally outscored the entire Arizona Coyotes on the power play.

Chris Kreider (26) just surpassed the Arizona Coyotes for power play goals (25) this season.

Kreider netted his 26th power play goal of the season, one up on the Coyotes with a total of 25. The Coyotes have the third-last ranked power play in the NHL currently, operating at a pathetic 13.7% efficiency. For comparison, Toronto sits at the top of the league with 27.5%.

With the injuries to Jakob Chychrun and Clayton Keller, there's really almost no NHL regulars left to be any sort of offensive threat for the Coyotes this year. With Chychrun on the trade block and the move to ASU arena possibly limiting the Coyotes' internal cap, there's a possibility they actually could be worse next year. It's hard to fathom.

With the Coyotes franchise in the gutter in every possible sense, the NHL is either hoping for a miracle organizational turnaround, or planning it's exit strategy from Arizona. Fans, players, owners, all seem to be hoping for the latter. Condolences to all hockey fans in Arizona.
