Calgary Flames General Manager Craig Conroy was a guest on Sportsnet 960 radio on Monday morning, discussing several topics and provided updates on a handful of players, including defenceman Oliver Kylington.

For those who aren't familiar with Kylington's situation, he missed the entire 2022-23 season to be back home in Sweden with his family for personal reasons. There were minor updates throughout last season from former GM Brad Treliving, but ultimately, Kylington missed the entire campaign and didn't return to play for the Flames.

When talking about Kylington, Conroy said that he's been skating for roughly a month now and is looking forward to returning next season. He went on to add that contract talks have not occurred yet, with the Stockholm native becoming an unrestricted free agent on July 1st.

Kylington, 26, was drafted by the Flames in the second round (60th overall) in 2015 and has gone on to appear in 168 games for them. In those 168 games, he's recorded 47 points (14 goals, 33 assists), 40 penalty minutes and is a plus-30.

We hope Kylington and his family are doing well and look forward to seeing him return to game action this Fall.
