Flyers General Manager confirms the worst about Ryan Ellis
The Philadelphia Flyers can't seem to catch a break. With news earlier this week about Sean Couturier out for the season, luck continues to go against the Flyers with one of their star D-men.
GM Chuck Fletcher shared that he's assuming Ryan Ellis won't play this season. To make matters even worse, he has gone to the extent of saying that it could be career ending. With Ellis out of the lineup, that has Philadelphia struggling to start the season with 2 solid defensive pairings.
Fletcher says it's way premature to say if this is season ending or career ending for Couturier. Says that Couturier is feeling better than he did last year. They're optimistic is can be resolved.

Ellis has missed significant time since being added to the Flyers from the Nashville Predators. It would be a real shame if Ellis was unable to continue his career.
