Former NHLer claims that 99 percent of players have this team on their trade list
No trade and no movement clauses have become far more common in the NHL. With 32 teams in the league players have more and more locations they don't want to play. The COVID-19 pandemic also saw an uptick in players who were unwilling to accept deals to Canadian teams.
Marc Methot played 13 seasons in the NHL, playing 624 games for 3 different NHL teams. Over that time Methot played in 30 different cities and spent time in hotels across North America. Today Methot took to Twitter to air his grievances about the worst hotel in the NHL.
Methot called the Fairmount Hotel in Winnipeg the worst hotel in the league he doubled down and absolutely ripped into Winnipeg.
I can see I've riled up lots of people with this post. I'd like to take time to apologize for forgetting to mention another thing 99.9% of players have Winnipeg on their "no trade lists". Have a great day!
Methot is very good at playing the bad guy and he's probably lucky that he doesn't have to make any trips to Winnipeg in the near future.
