Former Toronto Maple Leafs player passes away at 86-years-old
Players work their entire life to play in the NHL. It's not always about how many games you play, but knowing you accomplished your dream. That's exactly what happened with Ken Girard.
Girard worked very hard with the Toronto Marlboros of the OHA to earn himself a contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Girard was never able to stick in the NHL only playing 7 games over 3 separate seasons.
Today the Maple Leafs announced that at 86-years-old Girard has passed away.
We are saddened to learn of the passing of Toronto native, Ken Girard.
Our thoughts and condolences are with Ken's family.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Girard family.
