Furious Jon Cooper forces Nick Paul to leave interview and return to the dressing room
The Tampa Bay Lightning started last night's game on a very high note. Patrick Maroon was able to draw Ryan Reaves into taking a bad penalty, giving the Lightning an early powerplay. Nikita Kucherov was able to capitalize giving the Lightning an early lead.
K'Andre Miller quickly got the Rangers back even, until a back breaking goal by Kaapo Kakko sent the Rangers into intermission with a 2-1 lead. Lightning Coach, Jon Cooper was visibly upset on the bench and that carried over to the intermission.
While Nick Paul was giving an interview, Jon Cooper can be heard in the background demanding Paul cut the interview short. Paul does exactly that and leaves the interview immediately, leaving the interviewer surprised.
Cooper likely wanted to address his entire team, but from there the Rangers were all over the Lightning. Igor Shesterkin made some incredible stops, but it never seemed like the Lightning were dangerous until the final 3 minutes. Paul brought the Lightning within 1 late, but that's as close as they could get.
