Game begins with a wild line brawl
While the NHL isn't set to begin play until next month, the KHL is already underway. While not exactly known for his physical play the KHL always has it's moments. Today was another example of that.
During today's game between Sochi and Avangard the teams lined up for the opening faceoff. But before the faceoff could even he won, all five members of each team immediately drop the gloves for an old school line brawl.
All five players were given fighting majors on the play, but this definitely set the tone for the remainder of the game.
