Goalies drop the gloves for a spirited tilt (Video)
The days of the goalie fights are in the past. These classic moments are a rarity in hockey, especially as it seems leagues and trying to remove fighting completely. But every once and awhile we get lucky and have the opportunity to watch two goalies drop the gloves.
The most recent goalie fight occured last night in the Federal Prospects Hockey League. The game happened Saturday night between the Carolina Thunderbirds and Mississippi Sea Wolves. As things escalated between the two team, both goalies opted to pair off.
After the fight both Boris Babik and Blake Weyrick were ejected from the game. But for both goalies it was definitely worth it.
