After making it to the Western Conference Finals last season, the Las Vegas Golden Knights had high expectations going into this season. Vegas fans went crazy after the acquisition of center Jack Eichel in November, thinking this made them even more of a Stanley cup contender.

Unfortunately, the good times have hit a road block in Sin City. The Vegas Golden Knights are currently in a battle to even make the playoffs, sitting 4th in the Pacific with a 36-28-4 record. The Golden Knights are having some serious cap issues as well, trying to get Mark Stone and Alec Martinez back in the lineup.

To add to the struggle Golden Knights' head coach Pete Deboer revealed some more bad news today. The news is that forward William Carrier is out of the lineup with a injury that Deboer described by simply saying,

It doesn't look good.

The Golden Knights currently have Mark Stone, Robin Lehner, Max Pacioretty, Riley Smith, and Brayden McNabb all on injured reserve, adding Carrier to that list isn't going to help matters. It's tough to have Stanley Cup aspirations when you are struggling to make the playoffs.
