Insider reveals massive haul the Chicago Blackhawks will receive for one of their defenders
Another Chicago Blackhawks player to watch out for his defenseman Jake McCabe. McCabe's name has been mentioned in trade rumors particularly since the deadline is almost five weeks away. Frank Seravalli reports that Edmonton, Los Angeles and Toronto are all interested in his services. You can never have too many defenseman on your roster in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
If the Blackhawks decide to part with McCabe they might have to retain some of his salary to get the best deal possible. McCabe is signed for two more seasons after this season at $4 million per season. McCabe also has a list of seven teams that he will not be traded to so Chicago will have to work with him on that.
According to Frank Seravalli the return for McCabe is going to be a massive one.
I hope McCabe get's dealt to a playoff team this year. The poor guy hasn't played meaningful hockey in the National Hockey League ever. He has yet to reach the postseason with Buffalo or Chicago. Although teams might be interested in McCabe's services, he has been on the injured list often throughout his career. Some team will likely still take a chance on him and Chicago might be motivated to move him due to the rebuild they're about to go through.
