Jacob Trouba gets a taste of his own medicine leaves game after taking an elbow to the head
Jacob Trouba has developed quite the reputation of being one of the league's biggest hitters. Those same hits have helped him develop a reputation as one of the dirtiest players in the game. While Trouba is usually the one delivering the hit, tonight he was on the wrong side of things.
Early in the second period, Washington Capitals winger Tom Wilson raced in with a chance on goal. However, as Wilson cuts across he middle be delivers an elbow directly to the side of Trouba's head.
Trouba took an elbow from Wilson and left the Game at the start of the 2nd Period. #NYR
The hit clearly left Trouba shaken and the defender went directly to the bench and to the locker room. As of now Trouba has yet to return to the game. There was correctly no penalty on the play.
