If there is one thing you can describe Gary Bettman as, it is persistent. The perfect example of that is Bettman's refusal to relocate the Arizona Coyotes. Now it appears that might just be the tip of the iceberg.

With the NHL's collective bargaining agreement set to expire at the end of the 2026 season, rumors have swirled that the league will once again look to expand before this date. According to NHL Agent Allan Walsh, by expanding before the expiration of the CBA it will ensure that every dollar made from expansion will go to team owners. Under the current agreement, expansion revenue is not accounted for under hockey related revenue and therefore is not counted towards the rise of the salary cap.

Today Kevin Weekes revealed that it appears once again that Gary Bettman will attempt to make Atlanta a viable NHL market, hoping the third time is the charm.

**Potential Expansion Update**
👀 I'm told word on the street is that the South Forsyth Project in suburban Atlanta including an Arena, is all ahead full speed with the design moving quickly and interviews for builders taking place. @NHL #HockeyX #HockeyTwitter .

The current design of the new facility is set to have a 15,000+ seat NHL style arena. The design features all the required amenities to house an NHL team. It now appears it's just a matter of time before Atlanta gets their third chance at a team as the league looks to eventually grow to 34 teams.

The question remains however, do you think Atlanta deserves another chance?
